Multidimensional Effectiveness Index
The IME is an innovation with a public purpose, as it helps address the challenges of evaluating programs’ capacity to tackle the complexities for which they were designed, enabling savings and improvements to make them more effective and fulfill the promise of enhancing their users’ well-being in specific areas. Knowing what, how, and to what extent a program works—and where to adjust it to increase its effectiveness—is essential for improving the quality of services provided to the population targeted by public efforts. This project contributes to that protection agenda through an alert and effectiveness typology (TAE) that examines systems and identifies their shortcomings. Thus, this disruptive innovation becomes a mechanism that increases the likelihood of public policies and public or private programs that proactively assess their own risks.

Book
This book presents a model of innovation with a public purpose for polycrisis contexts. By recognizing failures and critical issues, the book shows how the CLIPP can transform these limitations into disruptive innovations, articulating polycentric collaboration, transdisciplinary knowledge, technology, implementation from design, and early measurement of effectiveness.

This book brings together 29 policy briefs that transform Chile's concerns and uncertainties into proposals for innovation with a public purpose. From the University of Chile, the book articulates evidence, technology, and knowledge transfer to address national challenges—aligned with the SDGs and the CTCI strategy—offering concrete ideas for a more just, sustainable, and hopeful development.

This book presents the main results of the FONDEF ID17I10033 project, which developed an early warning prototype for child protection programs from a rights-based approach. Through a typology of warning and effectiveness, it challenges systems by observing their failures and proposes an analysis matrix to improve implementation, interrupt deficient trajectories, and expand opportunities for children and adolescents.
This book presents the Multidimensional Effectiveness Index (IME), a measurement system with eight analytical dimensions that allows us to observe the effectiveness of childhood programs, broaden our understanding of what it means to be “effective,” and support timely decisions to improve their design, implementation, and sustainability.
Interactively explore how the Multidimensional Effectiveness Index works. The simulator allows you to navigate the model’s 8 dimensions and see how a program’s effectiveness score is calculated based on its indicators.
Through a guided exercise, you’ll be able to experience the self-assessment process that teams go through when using the platform: uploading information, reviewing results on the pie chart, and identifying which level—alert, minimum functional, or effective—each dimension falls into.
