IME Team — University of Chile
The University of Chile, through its Faculty of Social Sciences, is the institution that originated the Multidimensional Effectiveness Index (IME) and continues to lead its academic development. The team brings together researchers from multiple disciplines—including social work, sociology, psychology, engineering, and public policy—along with professionals dedicated to network management, organizational partnerships, and quality assurance for the social programs that implement the model.
FONDEF Child Protection Early Warning System (SAT)
The FONDEF ID17I10033 project, "Early Warning Prototype for Child Protection Systems and Programs Based on a Rights-Based Approach," gave rise to the Early Warning System (EWS), which now operates through the IME. Developed between 2018 and 2020, the project brought together researchers from the University of Chile, Diego Portales University, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. It also involved collaboration with public institutions, including the National Service for Minors (SENAME) and the Chilean Gendarmerie, as well as civil society organizations such as Corporación Opción and Fundación Colunga.
